What is legal window tint in Indiana?

Windshield film is typically limited to a sun strip at the top, no lower than the AS-1 line. Factory privacy glass already counts toward the final reading. VLT is how much light the finished glass lets through. Lower number = darker. A 30% film on already-tinted factory glass can measure darker than 30% once it's on the car. That's why we talk in finished look and legality, not just the roll label.

Ceramic is the value/performance pick: stronger heat rejection, UV block, and clarity without messing with electronics.
